I was curious as to what everyone uses for pads? I am using a streetbike for trackdays and want something more aggressive. I would rather go through pads than to wreck rotors. Thanks in Advance. Has anyone heard of Vesrah pads?

DP race pads have serious bite.

Agreed... I just picked up my second set of RDP216s for my ZZR600. It took me three years to get through the first set and there appears to be ZERO wear on the Galfers. Very happy with them... way more bite than the "Road" DP216s and offered far less rolling resistance than the "organic" race pads the previous owner had in there. They are an HH+ sintered compound and only $35 a rotor. www.dp-brakes.com/Shop/p-3-RDP-X-Race-Titanium.htmlVesrahs get a lot of good reviews but with all choices how do you decide which compound is right for you? It's like asking, "what's a good wine?" Well, it's the one you like! www.vesrah.com/new_page_56.htmGood luck! But, IMHO, every high end company is so concerned about competitiveness the consumer wins out... there are very few bad choices. Oh, one other thought... I stuck a set of race Carbone Lorraines on my ZZR1200 and they squeal like a stuck pig after repeated light brake application (aka: street use) Race compound pads may not be happy with stop and go traffic... Anyone else have any thoughts on that?

it really comes down to what u like ...some guys go for high initial bite others (like me)like a more progressive feel ..high bite often does not equal faster deceleration even tho it feels like it when you first touch them ..Ferodo's are my choice for progressive feel and high stopping power ..if i had to describe them, it's almost as if you had power brakes ,they get better ,more powerful, the longer you apply them..isn't bench racing fun!!!!
