Wishing a speedy recovery to Dereck and Stef, never good to see fellow riders go down.

Thx Bruce, was a pretty aggressive crash.. Hope dereck knows there was absolutely no way for me to miss him. I hope he is doing better. As for now I wouldn't mind getting a hold of Dan, see if he has any collar bone healing tips for me... I am Hoping to get back out this year.

Glad you're ok Stef, looked pretty violent coming past you guys. Hope Dereck is feeling ok as well. As for your collarbone, not much you can do about it other than try to hold it still and wait for the bone to fuse back together. Annoying because you can't do anything but just takes time, when I broke mine I was fully functional again in about 4 weeks or so

Thanks Brian, your story is inspiring! Did you have a surgical plate installed? My condition is in the gray area.. I have the option to fix the bone with a plate or let it heal naturally with a "bump".. I'm trying to outweigh the affects of having surgery to straighten the bone or leave it a little misaligned and healing naturally. Doc says I could go either way but the plate will be stronger in the beginning.

It was a few more then 4 weeks for me, but yeah, keep it still and don't try to lift stuff too early on.
I hope the family is getting all the support they need. I think we (forum members) could offer some help around the yard if you need it. I know last summer I missed out on lots of projects I had planned.
Best of luck, dc

No plate for me, bone was completely snapped through and it was just in a sling for a few weeks. I have the reminder bump there but not an issue. Basically just try to keep it as lined up as possible and let the bone fuse itself.
