even the best professional racers in the world get a sighting lap followed by a full warmup lap from the real grid ...not us ...we are expected to run down a slippery when wet hot shute and then go for it ..wow we saved what two minutes and compromised safety ..i've seen the ama do some pretty stupid things over the years but this in my opinion is right up there

Not sure what race track you attended but no racers started on a wet hot chute. Like any change there are kinks to be ironed out and they were by the end of the weekend. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

wasn't there for sunday ..but thankfully the procedure was changed from saturday ..I'm sure there is time to be saved but it isn't in the laps they are little more than a minute long the time is in getting people gridded
