Hey everyone, this doesnt seem to be the most active forum, but basically i know nothing about entering for the 2014 "bring your street bike to the race track!" or this club in general. I'm wondering what modifications and regulations have to be made to the bike to be allowed on the course, and of course acceptable gear. This is a beautiful event if i can take my street bike on the track with minor modifications being required to "race" or "practice" as i want to "safely" exersize my skills and passion in a legal manner. Looking forward to hear any feed back about this event!
Cheers, Bob

So a onezy or leather pants and attaching a full zipper will be required, and technically taking my "street bike to the race track" is a bit over fetched as I will have to eliminate all types of glass, or tape over then, and build a catch tray for my bottom end. Also I would have to get a mouth gaurd made. Not to far fetched, dont get me wrong. But that headline is slightly inaccurate.

Hi Bob, Yes proper riding gear is required, there's no way we can have you showing up in jeans. Crashing in full leather suits sucks enough as it is. It is as simple as bringing your streetbike to the track. Bring a roll of painters tape and simply tape your head light and turn signals in the morning, takes you 5 minutes. Mirrors get in the way of proper riding position and again it's more stuff to break. They are very easy to remove at the track. You're not racing so if your bike doesn't have a lower fairing it's fine no need to build a catch tray. Trackday riders don't require mouth guards, is it recommended? Sure but it's your safety do as you please.
Do not mistake trackdays for racing. If you've never been to the track before, you're not racing. You will be doing trackdays. "Bring your street bike to the track" is for trackday riders, eventually if you want to race you're not racing your streetbike and it's a whole other ball game. -Bruce

Awesome. Im really looking forward to the event now! I have proper riding pants, that have knee padding, but they are not leather, and only zip at the back section. I do have a race jacket though. Leather padded gloves and boots are on my list. Thank you both for thoural answers. The main page did not dictate this paticular event in detail. If I get hooked, which im sure I will, ill be on the hunt for another zx7r to use for racing. We will see how I do on the track first.

When you get to the track, come down to the Tech area and we will help you get ready for the day.
