Hi " old timer ".
The MRA has in fact had representation at the first and second Powersport shows sponsored by the Mid Canada Marine and Powersport Dealers Association.
All dealers were provided with information and advertising and most posted and handed out MRA posters and Track day cards. We also took advantage of an impromptu radio spot on 92 fm. Although the MRA did not sponsor a booth, it did have active representation with all MRA information and handouts along side a race bike, leathers, helmet, and a power point presentation in the Motosport Technician Booth. The MRA values its members and works to be strategic in the way it spends membership money. In an effort to do this, the exec chose to use the last two years as a test to see if the show theme and the attendees would fit the MRA target market. The powersport shows have proven to predominantly showcase ATV's and as such, the exec decided that interest generated by the shows is not cost effective.
Rest assured the MRA will again have exposure this year at not only the Powersport show, but also in Brandon and Richer at no charge to the MRA. We are doing this because we recognize that advertising, especially when it does not cost the MRA membership is a positive thing.
Thank you for your post, if you have any additional suggestions feel free to email the exec directly.
